The New Tech Pitch is an initiative of DocsBarcelona Pro focused on non-fiction documentary projects that incorporate emerging technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence, and Web3. This platform allows creators to present their projects to funders, experts, and decision-makers in the audiovisual and tech industries, fostering opportunities for development and international co-production.
The call is open to international projects from any country and accepts projects in development, production, or post-production, without restricting to a specific format. The event takes place in Barcelona, Spain, during DocsBarcelona Pro, from May 9 to 14, 2026. Applications for this edition are open from December 9, 2025, until January 30, 2026.

New Tech Pitch - DOCS
This program is aimed at documentary feature film projects in any stage of the production chain. Projects will be selected that have a creative team (director and producer) seeking to position themselves and begin a journey that will lead to the completion of the cinematic work.
During the BioBioCine Meetings, the methodology is tailored to the specific needs of each project, with guidance from mentors of recognized international experience. It includes group sessions, one-on-one meetings, and the opportunity to present a 3-minute pitch to industry guests. Up to 8 projects will be selected.

BIOBIOCINE - Documentary Internship
Speed Meetings 2026 is an industry activity within DocsBarcelona Pro, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from May 9 to May 14, 2026, with Speed Meetings sessions scheduled between May 10 and May 13, 2026. The initiative is designed to foster strategic one-to-one meetings between documentary projects and key international industry professionals, including funders, co-producers, broadcasters, and platforms.
The call is open to non-fiction documentary projects in feature-length or series formats that are in development, pre-production, production, or advanced production stages, provided they are not completed and still have a financing gap. Short films and completed works are not eligible.
Speed Meetings 2026 accepts international submissions, welcoming projects and co-productions from any country. Artistic vision, thematic diversity, and international potential are key selection criteria.

Speed Meetings - DOCS
This program is aimed at filmmakers who are seeking to achieve the final cut of their fiction or documentary work, defining the authorial vision and point of view, which will allow them to begin the post-production stage of the project. It is essential that the project includes the presence of the editor.
During the BioBioCine Meetings, the methodology is tailored to the specific needs of each project, with guidance from mentors with recognized international experience. The work will be conducted through daily individual sessions in a virtual editing room. Participants will also have the opportunity to present a 3-minute pitch to industry guests. Up to 4 projects will be selected.

BIOBIOCINE - Corte Final Lab (ONLINE)
The Co‑Production Pitch at the Seriencamp Conference 2026 is aimed at production companies seeking partners and international funding for their fiction series. Projects must be partially financed and have a minimum of four planned episodes, excluding animation, documentaries, and children’s series. The call accepts international submissions and offers the chance to present projects to executives, producers, broadcasters, and streaming platforms.
Applications are open until January 28, 2026, and live pitches will take place on June 9–10, 2026 in Cologne, Germany. Selected projects participate in a live pitching session and may be included in the Digital Story Exchange, a professional networking platform that allows creators to connect with the industry prior to the event. This pitch offers a strategic opportunity for developing projects seeking co-production and international visibility.
